Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The letter of presentation of the work is sent. All authors have participated in the preparation of the work and are aware of the submission, its responsibilities and the open access condition of the Rev peru biol. Their respective emails will be included.

Author Guidelines

COVER LETTER

The work will be accompany of a covering letter signed for all authors, and addressed to the Chief Editor. Letter must be indicating that you have read the present guidelines for papers, ensuring the originality, unpublished and complete character of the work presented and willingness to make it revised and edited. The work must be submitted after review by all authors and due consent of each.

All authors guarantee the quality of work, the letter will be considered a sworn statement and must state that:

a. Ensure that you have read submission guidelines and understand the legal and ethical requirements that are mentioned in the Guidelines for papers.

b. Ensure that all data contained are accurate and all the facts stated are derived from observations or research by the authors.

c. Ensure responsibility for all nominees at work and its relevant participation in the design, execution and analysis and take responsibility for the published work.

d. Ensure that the work presented no competition concerns expressed in the results or conclusions.

e. Ensure that the submitted manuscript has never been published in full or in part, in the language submitted or in any other language, and is not subjected another journal.

f. The authors guarantee that violated no laws or ethical standards or national or international bioethics in preparing the article.

g. This letter should be sent by each of the authors, appropriately signed by email.

Final Proof and Consent Letter

Once the editing process is completed, the Chief Editor of Revista de la Sociedad Química del Perú send to Responsible for the work a final work in PDF format, for final review; authors should make the relevant changes will correct printing errors and after correction of the errors the respopnsable author send the letter of consent for publication of the article, in which: accepts the publication of the work in the Revista de la Sociedad Química del Perú and is of According to the license.

Authors retain their rights as: a. The rights and patent rights to any process or procedure described in the article. b. The right to share, copy, distribute (eg in their institutional repositories) and transmit the work. c. The subsequent right to the publication, use the article or any part thereof, in a printed compilation of his own works, such as collected writings or lecture notes, in a thesis, or to expand the article into book format for publication, always quoting sources published in full is made.

Presentation of files: Files will be emailed to the editor: revistaperuana.biologia@unmsm.edu.pe Papers can be submitted in English or Spanish. Authors should ensure that the mathematical equations are editable, not images.

The work must have three basic parts: (a) identification, (b) body and (c) literature cited .

(a) The identification

Must contain:

Title (in English and Spanish) , written in high and low, with a length of no more than 150 characters, including spaces.

Full name of the author or authors.

Institutional affiliation of authors, address of the institution, email each of the authors, and indicate the address of the corresponding author.

Abstract of no more than 250 words (in English and Spanish).

Keywords, five (in English and Spanish).

Contributions of all authors must be described. Revista de la Sociedad Química del Perú has adopted the CRediT Taxonomy to describe each author’s individual contributions to the work.

Conflict of interest.

Source of funding. The source of funding for the work should be indicated, and include the code or reference number.

Acknowledgements: Should be devoted only to individuals and institutions that collaborated directly in the performance of work.

(b) The body of work

It will vary according to the section of the RPB:

Articles. They are primary articles, unpublished results exhibiting work of complete and final investigations, which are contributions to knowledge. Descriptions of new species are also included, must be have the international standards characteristics of the information. Body is organized in: Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion (Results, Discussion). An average of 40 pages of text in length, illustrations (tables and figures) should only be necessary for a better presentation of the results.

Notes. Are primary articles, are included here: interest taxonomic works (distribution reports, taxonomic inventories, taxonomic notes), the information must have the standards of Darwin core. Results of screening are also included, which information is of interest to the scientific community. The text should not be longer than 15 pages. The body of the note can be organized: Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, and Acknowledgments.

Comments. These are articles that discuss and expose themes or concepts of interest to the scientific community. Opinion essays and papers are included here. Must have the following parts: body of Comment and Acknowledgements. All item must have an average of 10 pages text.

 

Consent Release

The author will receive a proof of the article in PDF format, which will review it carefully and consult with the other authors. Once solved editing errors, the author responsible will send a letter or email confirming that the work was reviewed by all authors and conform, and explicitly mention of their consent to the publication of the work in the Revista de la Sociedad Química del Perú and to be according to the license Creative Commons. This is a requirement for the publication of the work. With the test, the corresponding author will receive the cost of publication in appropriate cases.

The Revista de la Sociedad Química del Perú has not charge of editing, publishing or managing.
